Ides of March

Posted on the 15 March 2012 by Killmenow @lbigfoot

What a week, what a year! This year I met weird Ilana, belly-aching Maria, nutty Nadine and of course senile Sara. Who are these women you may ask, stay tuned to these pages, or to my upcoming book. They are not dangerous women but still earned the right to be added to my CLS ladies. CLS? This is a term coined together by myself and a friend Suzie Obeid from Canada.

My last blog-post was all about my publisher, iUniverse, who continue to maintain that I have only sold a handful of books.  If you want to help me out, click here. But this blog is not about getting you to buy the book, it is about fun! Without fun, we would be humorless.

Why call this entry the Ides of March? It has such an ominous sound to it. It is best known as the date on which Julius Caesar was killed in 44 B.C. by Marcus Junius Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus and hence the term “Et tu Brutus”. This is according to Wikipedia. Obviuosly Julius Ceasar was not important to Wikipedia because when you are important, you are assissinated and not simply killed or murdered.

Is the reason I am refering to this blog as the Ides of March to echo a 2011 movie called, wait for it – the Ides of March starring George Clooney. A colleague told me that I look like a young George Clooney. George wishes he could look like me.

NO. The reason is clear, its because you are near, the weekend is nigh and the date is 15th March! Enjoy your weekend everyone.
