I’m starting a new photographic project called ‘Possessions’. I’ve been thinking about it for a good week now and contacted my tutor to ask his opinion, and he seems to really like it…which obviously is a relief! Last year, me and my photography class put on an exhibition at the end of June, showing our latest series of images. It was basically a warm up to prepare us for this year, as in June I will be exhibiting another body of work which will be my final major project. Scary huh!
Last year my piece was called ‘Afterlife’ and was inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s poem called The Raven. This year I’m going to do something a little different, I guess you could call it a documentary piece, on special possessions. I’m going ask as many people as possible to answer one question. I’d like to get answers from people of all age groups, social status’ etc. So, please(!!) answer this question by simply adding a comment at the bottom! Obviously my aim is to photograph as many answers as I can, but even if I can’t just having the research will help me massively. If anyone could reblog and share this, I would be eternally grateful.
