Happy Monday, fellow crusaders! Is there a better way to start a week than with the acquisition of new knowledge?

As you may or may not know, this week is Shark Week, which seems like the perfect excuse to brush up on your shark facts.Like did you know that most sharks do not need to keep swimming in order to breathe. However, the few exceptions to this do include some fan favorites like the great white, mako, and whale shark.
Speaking of whale sharks, you probably already know they're the biggest shark. The largest recorded was over 41 feet long. But do you know what the smallest shark is? The dwarf lantern shark is less than 8 inches long.
Sharks don't just live in the ocean. The bull shark, for one, can thrive in fresh and saltwater. In fact, it's been spotted as far north as Alton, Illinois in the Mississippi River. Something to keep in mind the next time you stick your toe in a river.
