mickeyThe Mouse is moving one step closer to world domination in 2013…okay, maybe “domination” isn’t the right word…let’s just say that Disney is securing their lead.

The “Big Cheese” will be implementing a new “vacation management system,” into its amusement park empire, complete with a cutesy name—MyMagic+.

The new program promises to make your Disney experience less stressful and more personal.  All of your personal information will be at your fingertips (and the Mouses).  It’s amazing what we’re willing to give up for a little added convenience.

On the surface, the program seems innocent enough.  The tracking device…I mean the MagicBand has the iconic Mickey logo on them, so how bad can it be?

The new MagicBands will track your every move in the Disney parks, whether you’re taking a photo with Cinderella or making a purchase at a food cart, the Mouse will know.  This information will be used to suggest attractions you might like, or let you know when lines are short for your favorite rides.

If your still nervous about handing over your info; don’t worry, you can adjust yours and your children’s (if you happen to be bringing them with you…I don’t judge) privacy settings.  That way, you can at least pretend that Disney doesn’t already have your info on file.

…and don’t forget to take off the MagicBand on your one-day excursion to Wizarding World of Harry Potter…you don’t want to know what happens.
