Do you feel like you’re tweeting into a void? Are you sending out your 140 character (or less) gems into the Twittersphere, only to be answered with silence?
If thoughts such as these keep you awake at night, Twitter might have a solution to your problem…or they could be making it worse.
A new Twitter experiment will track the number of views each of your tweets received, and display this information beneath each post. It sounds like a good idea until you think about it, and then think about it some more, and… Seriously!?!? Over a thousand people viewed my amazing tweet, and no one felt the need to retweet, favorite, or reply?
I think I’ve made my point.
While the experienced Twitter user knows that not every tweet is a hit, this could lead to some serious Twitter-induced depression.
Twitter, might I suggest having a required minimum number of followers in order to qualify for this “special” feature.
You don’t want the newbies to get discouraged.
