Smokers, the forgotten refugee of the modern era are being ousted by another institution today—Starbucks.
If you’re scratching your head, trying to remember the last time you saw someone smoking in a Starbucks, you can stop.
Smokers have long been banned from enjoying their classic coffee and cigarette combo inside the chain’s cafes, and now they won’t even be welcome outside.
The java giant is enforcing a 25 foot perimeter for smokers around all their stores.
It’s another huge blow for the persecuted smokers who have already been asked (in many states) to drink their beers and enjoy their dining out experiences without a cigarette.
If only we could make ten feel less ostracized. If only there were some way for them to enjoy the same indoor and now outdoor spaces as the rest of non-smokers. It’s a dream.
Until then us non-smokers will just have to endure you and your cigarettes’ absence.
