…keep Your Eye on the Ball

20140615-191336-69216083.jpgBefore we begin, we’d like to express our sincere sympathies to all of the Mexican fans. That was a tough way to  lose.

On the flip side, congratulations to all of the Dutch fans. What an exciting way to win, although we assume your fingernails paid for it dearly.

What can we say? We have no loyalties (aside from the U.S. who play on Tuesday), but we do love watching the elimination matches. We’re cheering for whoever needs it most at the moment. That does mean matches that are at a draw can get a little confusing, but it keeps it exciting.

From the look of things on Twitter, we’re not the only ones who’ve adopted this tactic, or an acute addiction to following the World Cup coverage. It just makes you wonder what we’ll all do with our time once we don’t have 90+ minute soccer games to watch, and comment on in 140 characters or less.

We’ve got two weeks before we have to figure that out though, let’s enjoy it while it’s here.

Honestly, we’ll miss the Google Doodle’s most of all:
