Happy National Selfie Day!
If it seems silly to dedicate a day to a photo of your self, allow me to make an argument in its favor.
The selfie gets a lot of grief. There’s the narcissism stigma, and the fact that a lot of selfie-takers can be a bit oblivious doesn’t help.
But here’s the thing, most selfies don’t really live up to the name. They’re group shots. Not only that, they’re a whole lot of fun to take. And most of the time no one really cares what they look like in them because they’re all too busy laughing.
So, I guess what my point is, is respect the selfie…even if it is usually a groupie.
