I’m absolutely honored to be guest hosting the Daily Post’s Weekly Writing Challenge this week! I’m especially pleased that I managed to incorporate bunny slippers, Atticus Finch, and the year 3000.
I would love for you to participate, and yes– I do plan to read them all! With the help of the super-fabulous editors, I think I managed to make the prompt into something that would look pretty darn fabulous on anyone.

The last weekly challenge had something close to 120 pingbacks, which I’m going to pretend were all participants. It’s not like it’s a competition, but we can totally beat that, right?
Here’s how you can help:
- Write something awesome, like you always do– except theme this one to the prompt somehow. Get creative: you know how I feel about “rules”.
- Spread the word.
- Read! Nothing encourages writing and writing communities like readers– or even better, readers who engage.
Here’s how you can stretch:
- If you’re a quiet type of reader, (Hey, y’all. I know you’re out there. I love seeing your like-tracks in my blog snow.) — Leave at least one kind comment for a participant.
- If you’re a fiction writer– tell us a real life story.
- If you’re a non-fiction blogger — turn one of your real life stories into fiction, or go all out fiction.
- If you aren’t much of a blog reader, tip toe around. Read a couple of posts, you’ll probably love ‘em!
- If you’re more of a visual blogger, post a picture– and then add 100 words. Easy peasy.
- If you’re learning social media, tweet your post to me (@rarasaur) and I’ll retweet it. Or, tag me in Facebook, and I’ll share it there!
- Double up! Combine this prompt with another site’s prompts — one that allows doubling up. This way, we can see how fabulous it is when communities collide.
I’m looking forward to hearing our collective rawr!
Or, in other words…

How’s your Monday going? Will you be joining this weekly challenge with me? (Comments about the challenge specifically should probably be left over there, so others with the same question can overhear.)
PS – I updated my about page, finally accomplishing Day 1 of the Zero to Hero challenge. As usual, I’ll take any advice you’re willing to share!
