Today I packed up a box with things that I put away before renting my room out for the summer. And look what I found! I introduce to you my Dad's old camera - the Russian Zenit, which I have somewhat ambivalent feelings about. I had been using it for several film rolls when I found out that my all my developed photos were underexposed. And so I learned that there are cameras out there, like my Dad's old from the 70's, with only manual exposure. Slightly embarrassed by not having thought of that, nor understanding how the manual exposure worked I put it away. For a year.
I picked it up today and it reminded me of my Dad that passed away some years ago and all the pictures he took with it. My Dad's interest with this camera is the reason why my childhood is recorded in photos. Although it seems like a natural part of life, one shouldn't neglect things like these. And I feel like I owe it up to this camera to give it another try.
So here we go again...
