Say what you will about winter, it has its bright spots. Yes, it's cold. Yes, it's grey. But if you keep an open mind, there's magic to be found. For one, as the days grow shorter the nights grow brighter.
That's especially true this evening as it's the first night of Hanukkah.
It's a holiday that celebrates faith, hope, and the possibility of the improbable. It's a tradition of light that has the power to warm your heart no matter your beliefs.
As a born and raised Catholic that's about as much as I can say without feeling like I'm stepping on toes, but I will say one more thing.
To those who celebrate, happy Hanukkah! To those who don't, enjoy the extra light.
