Links – See Mine, Share Yours

Posted on the 26 August 2013 by Rarasaur @rarasaur

I don’t know if you noticed, but typing rarasaur.com into your browser will bring you here directly!  This little update is absolutely thrilling to me because it makes it 9 letters easier to type and 3 syllables faster to say.

It helps to have a shorter URL because most people try to run away when I tell them about my blog.

It's RARASAUR.COM, little ChiChi.

It’s R – A – R – A – S – A – U- R – dot COM, little ChiChi.  Why are you so afraid of blogs?

My shortened domain name was Dave’s gift to me at 3000 readers, and recently I clicked right past that milestone and hit 4000.

I love thinking about how that means I’ve celebrated at least 4000 times since opening this blog.

Me, every time someone hits that follow button. It's like Charles Schulz drew my soul.

For those interested in the technical details, I didn’t actually buy the premium service at WordPress, though I hear it’s fabulous.

All we did was buy a $10 domain over at GoDaddy and forwarded it here.  In non-geek-speak, that means my website is still rarasaur.wordpress.com.  As you navigate the pages, you’ll still see rarasaur.wordpress.com up in your browser header.

Rarasaur.com is just a shortcut to my homepage– which for me, and my non-professional blog, is more than enough.

In fact, it’s pretty wonderful.

Just like you.

Thank you– for making this such a welcoming community that people are still joining us here.  Every time I celebrate a new reader, please know that I also give thanks to you for your wisdom, wit, and warmth.

Just in case someone doesn’t know you yet, though…

Leave the link to your blog or website in the comments.

A specific post is even better than a homepage.  Your favorite post is better than a recent one.  Then buzz around— visit some friends and send some rawr love their way.
