…look the Other Way

Posted on the 04 October 2013 by Zer @the2women

…look the other wayWell folks, it’s Friday. Sorry for the lack of exclamation point, but this is more of a statement/public service for those who may have lost track.

You know how it is when you take a break from your usual routine, for instance your job. It’s amazing how quickly you can lose track of the day of the week.

So to anyone who may have lost track of the day of the week due to the fact that you haven’t been doing your job: It’s Friday.

Everyone else:  It’s Friday!

And, I will not be talking about the shutdown, aside from this mention and that wonderfully subtle allusion in my opening paragraphs.

They’re getting enough attention, they won’t be getting mine. In this blog post that is, I am of course keeping up on the story.

It’s important to be aware of what’s going on in the world, even when what’s going on is completely infuriating. Let’s face it for one reason or another it quite often is.

It’s just especially unfortunate when that completely infuriating behavior is being conducted by the men and women you elected to office under the premise that they would in fact work. Not to imply that quibbling on Twitter over whose filibuster was better is “work,” but at least back then we could still visit our national parks and monuments.

Of course by back then, I mean last week, and I know that closed monuments and parks are the least of the problems this shutdown has caused and is creating, but like I said, I’m not discussing this…much longer.

Might as well face it, it’s hard to talk about much else this week. If only the ones we’re all talking about would take a moment to actually talk (and actually listen) to each other.

Well, thank goodness it’s Friday…Go Cards!
