With anything new, there’s a certain amount of hesitance. As humans we seemed to be wired to not like change. This has made the world around us, which seems to be changing at an ever increasing pace, a little scarier.
While sometimes this caution towards something new can be a good thing, other times it just makes us look bad.
Google Glass may not be available to the public for months, but it’s already causing some controversy.
Everyone from West Virginia lawmakers to a local Seattle bar to Las Vegas casinos have already condemned the new specs and vowed to regulated and even ban the device.
The main concern from Glass opposers is privacy issues. It’s an understandable concern. How is anyone supposed to know if a Glass wearer is adjusting their gadget head gear or snapping a photo of them?
Although, the same can be said for cellphones and other recording devices. We’re pretty much always being watched, whether we like it or not.
At the end of the day we just have to hope that this new gadget will be used for good and not evil by he majority of its users.
