It’s no surprise that Hollywood is a tough town. To make it, you have to either know someone or compromise, or most likely both.
It turns out that this struggle to stay in the spotlight never ends.
We’re all familiar with the annual “Remembrance” video. You know, the four-minute reminder about who passed away during the past year, or at least those who were lucky enough to make the cut.
It turns out, there’s some serious campaigning that goes into making the Oscar obituary video. In fact, there have been some serious snubs in rescent years.
You may remember (or not), Farrah Fawcett, Bea Arthur, Peter Graves were all ousted for lesser knowns who had a better marketing campaign.
True, not everyone can make the list. They’d have to dedicate the entire program to those who passed, but allowing competition over who makes it and who doesnt, that just seems wrong.___________________________________________
