…Miss the Mark

Christmas has once again come and gone. If some of your gifts didn’t make it under the tree in time, well, you’re not alone.

Today, retailers and shipping companies are dealing with the backlash of unfulfilled delivery promises.

One of the perils of over-promising combined with the unpredictability of weather and other delaying factors, is the disgruntled consumer.

In any business (and in life) things go wrong every now and then. It’s unavoidable. How we react to these situations, not the fact that they happened, shows our true character.

In the true spirit of Christmas, Amazon handed out $20 gift cards and refunds on purchases to unhappy customers…while blaming UPS. To be fair, UPS did decline to comment, saying it doesn’t talk about specific customers…so they were really asking to shoulder all the blame.

Thankfully, for UPS (and not so thankfully of Amazon and other finger pointing retailers), Amazon still hasn’t acquired their own parcel delivery network.
