My Eggo's Are Preggo!

I am pregnant!
I keep saying that to myself, in fact I have been repeating it over and over for the last 3 months and on occasion it still seems a little surreal. Not only am I pregnant, I am pregnant with twins... yes twins... seriously, how crazy is that!?! And really...how scared/happy/nervous/joyful do I feel. I am (in the words of Callie Torres) “a casserole of emotions”
I am due in October, though I have been told by the hospital that I am likely to go into labor early (due to the twin factor) so I guess it is more realistic to make a guess that these little aliens will be making their debut into the world at the end of September. OMG! I am so not ready to even think about labour, it has to be one of things I am most afraid of. But they are in me, so I guess they have to come out somehow. Though, how fantastic would it be if technology suddenly jumped many, many years ahead and Star Trek technology was possible and there was a way to just beam the babies right out of me... yeah I know, I am the queen of wishful thinking.
I had my 12 week scan last week and it was amazing. Both babies were developing well and the right size. Twin 1 kept waving and Twin 2 kept rubbing its belly. Seeing them wriggle about was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. It was so moving and already I feel like I would do anything for them. The love I feel for these little babies is overwhelming, I have never known anything like it.
As happy as I am though, pregnancy so far has not been such a bed of roses, with high blood pressure and infections keeping me off of work – vomiting, extreme tiredness, insane breast pain, nose bleeds, blood pressure induced headaches and occasionally feeling like I have been kicked in my lady parts by a footballer hopped up on steroids, I have to keep reminding myself that it will all be worth it when I get to meet them. At least now I am in my 2nd trimester so the vomiting and the tiredness should subside sometime soon, and with all the pills I am taking hopefully my blood pressure should soon be under control.
Also one of my friends told me that with the 2nd trimester come the happy hormones... I like the sound of those; I hope they make an appearance soon! Bring on the happy hormones!
