I'm the luckiest girl in the world, I have the best time with my love. I throughly enjoy his company and I can say this after 26 years together. Aren't I lucky! We have grown even closer over time, we've grown together, supporting each other and also finding our adult selves in the process.
For Valentine's Day this year, Mr. Road King made reservations at Emeril's Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal. We've been there one other time many years ago, have attempted to go back at least once, but could not get in. I was so excited to be going again. The restaurant is beautiful and the food and service amazing. We had early reservations, which was funny as there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. We felt like we were having the early bird special without the special! But the 5:30 time slot was all that was open 3 weeks in advance. So we took it.
After a beautiful dinner, we really didn't have plans. Honestly we weren't thinking we would be done with dinner so early. Just didn't compute. We decided to head back to our side of town and check out the Monument Men movie. We enjoyed the movie, can't say it was the best movie I've seen and I thought it went unnecessarily long, but enjoyable because of the characters none-the-less.
It was a wonderful Friday night with my best friend. A wonderful date night on Valentine's. I'm so grateful. 26 Valentine's ago, Mr. Road King asked me to marry him. I'm thankful everyday that I said yes.
