Sonal Kalra
Born and brought up in Delhi, Sonal is currently the national editor of National Editor -Entertainment and Lifestyle at Hindustan Times and the head of HT City & HT Café. In total, she heads 24 editions of HT City/Life across the nation.Sonal seems to be a winner throughout her career. Below are some of her achievements:
- Gold medalist (1996) in PG in Mass Com, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations from Indian Institute of Mass Communication.
- Best Content award for National Portal by Government of India 2005
- Manthan award for exemplary content practices 2007
- Ramnath Goenka award for Best Film Journalist (2009)
- Outstanding Contribution to Journalism Award (2009) from the International non-political body, World Punjabi Organisation
- Excellence in Journalism award (2010) by International think tank GPS
- Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan Rashtriya Samman (2011) for contribution to media
- Young Achievers Award (2011) for excellence in media by the ‘Communications Academy Whistling Woods International’.
- Excellence in Journalism award (2012) by International think tank GPS
- Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Film Journalism (2012)
The young and talented girl is also an established author of two best seller self-help books in top bookstores across the Indian metros – ‘A Calmer You’ and ‘More of a Calmer You’. She is also the co-author of ‘E-Government Toolkit for Developing Countries’ published by the United Nations and the paper ‘india.gov.in -- The National Portal of India: India's answer to single entry national portals’ which was presented and published at the International Conference on Digital Government Research 2008, Montreal, Canada.

Dina Vakil
Dina Vakil holds the record for being first female editor of an English newspaper. A journalist since 1971, Dina headed The Times’ Mumbai edition – one of the country’s largest – for more than a decade.
