New Year, New Plans

Posted on the 26 January 2018 by Kalyanlahkar

I know it’s a little late for new year resolutions so I would refrain from calling them resolutions rather I will call them plans for the present year and beyond. From what I’ve gathered in the past year and a half or so I have had certain shortcomings and my plans henceforth will be to overcome those as much as I can and as fast as I can.

Plans for this year and beyond :-

  • Read more books- I do like reading books but somehow I have given up on reading for the past year and a half. Hope to read quite a few books this year. As I have I already quite a handful of fiction books so I am hoping to read more non-fiction for some time.
  • Be more social and network more- Even though I am quite a introverted person in most of the cases I perhaps realized that I do like company. Solitude is well and but it slowly creeps into loneliness. So if you’re someone whom I have not contacted for some time do expect a call or message from me soon. I also would like to know more people from diverse backgrounds and would strive to connect with interesting characters. If you are reading this and want to connect with me drop me message.
  • Complete things and learn more- I am quite notorious for leaving some things in the middle like reading a novel midway never to complete it or taking an online course and not bothering about it. I hope to complete the things I take up from now on as much as I can and not take on any extra stuff. I also plan on improving my skills in diverse fields where I am interested in. With the internet it’s no longer difficult to pursue your hobbies and interests so I will try to make the most of it.
  • Have more experiences- Often in the past I have missed out on many a great experiences due to my own laziness and wrong priorities. I would try to prioritize experiences because at the end of the day the memories and experiences are all we will remember on our death bed.
  • Write more blog posts and write often- I hope to write more blog posts and regularly as far as I can. Unlike my previous blog posts I will try to write one or more technical articles once in a while. Please be warned that all of the stuff that I write may not be what you were expecting.

So let’s see whether I can stick to the plans or not. The purpose of writing this blog post is so that others can point out if I am following my plans accurately or not and also so that I am forced to follow my plans as it is now in the public domain.
