[October 1]: Things Wasted

A scholarship someone else desperately needed;
An airline ticket that man in the queue behind you could’ve usedTo see his mother one last time;
Seven years of being single, productive and un-abused;
A room that could roofA perfectly senile,
Healthy,Nursing home residentOctogenarian parent;
A two hundred year old communityWhere the development plan now stands;
And the years spent waiting for you to come back.
