He had the type of armsWarm, thick, strong;They could choke the dunyaOut of a woman’s lungs
And he had the type of heartThat would break into debris of its former selfIf told that it was not wantedOr loved
And his face,His face was something else;Rigor mortis-Frozen expressionTelling the cause of death
It was as though his heart was worn In its creases,Rather than on his rolled up sleeves
And his arms;They could choke the dunya Out of a woman who reduced his heart to mere cells,Deceptively so:They lay unused by his sides,Like his face and soul,All the warmth in themGone.
