Of Suppressing The Uprising In The Long Run

Posted on the 05 May 2012 by Sarahkasm @Sarahkasm
This man-made fire
Has devoured entire
Buildings
Burned
Living
Hearts Alive
Killed little hopes inside
That were barely born
This man-made fire
Has fueled the ire
Of the young ones
Of the strong ones
Of the lost ones
Flame versus pain
Of losing a brother at a football game
This man-made  fire
Has a general sire
Who cannot be called out
Who cannot be found
Not even allowed the privilege
Of an acknowledged authorship
Always the missing third party
But never the first mate
This man-made fire
Is engulfing the remains
Of an ancient empire
It leaves nothing more to be desired
Than a second coming
With a plan this time around;
The battlefield will remain composed
Of thousands replacing hundreds
And millions replacing thousands
With every fallen man
Standing their ground
The plan stands
As a second option
In the long run
Because this man-made fire
Is the result of a pressure cooker
The lid exploded and hit the roof
January,
February,
April,
June,
July,
October,
November,
And some fool
Is trying to put the lid back on
As though they don't remember
What happened last time.
