Off the Bottle!

Posted on the 04 March 2012 by Susiemcbeth @susiemcbeth
Indigo has decided that she doesn't want her milk anymore.
In the not too distant past (about 2 weeks ago) she was drinking her milk like it was nectar from the gods, she could guzzle her bottle down in 15 mins, now I am lucky to get one down her in an hour. She was even at the point where she was attempting to hold her own bottle (see below picture).
It has become sport for her to see how far she can bat the bottle out of my hand. She has also got very good at shaking her head in order to avoid the teat...So much fun, and really not frustrating at all!!! I am not sure why she has gone off the bottle, as when I do manage to get the teat in her mouth she glugs the milk back, so she is hungry. Could it be related to teething (though she seems to have stopped teething for now and is still not interested)?
Feed-time is now a bit like playing a game of Twister. In order to get her to take her milk it involves twisting your limbs in ways to hold her and her little pro-batting arms in place, whilst balancing a bottle into her mouth and hoping she doesn't button her lips and refuse the milk.
She finds all of this very fun and entertaining, which she makes known by giggling and smiling whilst you retrieve the bottle. Little minx! Good thing she is too cute to get mad at.

Butter wouldn't melt (or so she would have you believe)
