It’s a little hard to believe, but one year ago, I married my best friend at the happiest place on earth! As soon as I can get out of here and onto a plane, we’ll be celebrating our first anniversary there as well! What are we doing? I have no idea! Scott’s putting together a surprise – all he told me was that I had to bring something nice to wear and some close-toed shoes, not necessarily in the same outfit. I’ve been playing the guessing game all week, but that’s one of the things I absolutely love about my husband – he’s very good at planning wonderful surprises!
All I can say for now is that I’m endlessly, endlessly grateful to have such a wonderful, kind, supportive man in my life. It’s not easy being the husband of a career Army woman, as he can probably tell you {and I’m going to make him do that one of these days}, but he puts up with the moves, the distance, the long hours, the acronyms, and all the general craziness without any fuss at all. No matter how crazy life is, he keeps me grounded and smiling, and for that, I love him more than I can tell.
