I am extremely grateful that the hubby and I were able to get away on holiday for as long as we were. It takes at least a few days for me to ramp down from work and really start to enjoy my vacation and then to start getting back into that work mindset. This holiday, I was actually able to accomplish that. We also had plenty of time to hang out with family and play in the parks – here are some of the highlights from our holiday vacation:
It was so much fun for us to see just how much our little niece has grown! Here she is, dancing with her uncle. ♥
The ICE experience at Gaylord Palms was a special treat! We actually slid down this slide carved totally of ice – don’t worry, we had about 4″ of parka between our patooties and the ice!
It’s become a mini-holiday tradition for us to spend New Year’s at the Polynesian Resort, but we had to swing by the Grand Floridian and the Wedding Pavilion, where we were married six months ago {has it already been six months??!!}.
We turned in early after a gorgeous fireworks display over Seven Seas Lagoon – and were able to get up and into the park while everyone else was still nursing their hangovers. It was a beautiful day, filled with rides, good food {I’m in love with the German Pavilion’s Biergarten!} and parasailing {I’ll post some fun pics from that adventure later!}. However you look at it, it was a wonderful end to 2012 and a great beginning to 2013!
