It’s no secret that we’ve turned into a society of oversharers.
The mere fact that the words “over” and “share” have been merged into one, should be proof enough.
Yes, social media is a wonderful tool when used in the correct way; however in the wrong hands it may lead to the downfall of the modern world.
If you think that’s a bit dramatic, consider the new devices, being developed by several technology companies, that literally log your life.
These devices can be fastened to clothing and catalogues their wearers life by taking geotagged photos up to two times a minute (for now).
It could be a cool tool for say, mountain climbers, Artic researchers or other extreme trekkers/travel bloggers (to name a few random uses). But for everyday use, it seems a bit much. No one wants to know that much about another person, and if they do, that’s called stalking.
We can only hope this new tool will be used for good and not for evil.
