The popularity of macarons started in Paris and brought here by some of the best bakers who were able to appreciate the sweet tasting cookie or should I say delicacy?
It looks like an ordinary cookie sandwich made fancy by its eye catching colors. I would describe it as an icing turned crispy on the outside and a bit chewy texture on the inside. Cream can be any flavor such as chocolate, raspberry, vanilla and pistachio (are the most popular choices).
Surprisingly macarons costs about Php 35 per piece. A little too expensive for one small piece (practically speaking) but if you must know, Macarons are difficult to bake. It takes a lot of patience to achieve desired results because if you have over done them it might be too stiff to bite.
