…Play Along

Tonight, the 61st Grammy Awards will take over the Staples Center in Los Angeles. While most of us won't be attending in person, we do get to watch from the comfort of our own couches...so, there's that.

Some of the performers you can catch (while rocking your slippers) include Cardi B, Miley Cyrus, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monáe, Lady Gaga, Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton, and Diana Ross.

Of course, there will be awards peppered in there too, but if we're being honest we're just here for the music. That is, after all, what the Grammys are about. It's not about the awards and the accolades, it's about celebrating the music and how it connects us all.

That being said, we do like to at least guess who will win. It makes you feel like you have some skin in the game. Keeping with tradition, we'll be making our predictions in the only category we feel qualified to do so in. So, without further ado, here are our picks for Best Musical Theater Album...

Zer: "The Band's Visit" - Usually the Tony winner for Best New Musical would be a shoo-in. However, it's hard to ignore "Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert." That being said, I think "The Band's Visit" will win. Its music stands out amongst its fellow nominees, and its story is one that reminds us that there's more that unites us than divides us...which is something we could all use a little more of.

Stephanie: "Once on This Island" - For the record, I love each and everyone one of these albums, but I feel like the Tony winner for Best Revival of a Musical has a solid shot here (that is if JCS doesn't pull an upset). But at the end of the day, I highly recommend listening to all of these incredible albums. They're all well worth a listen.
