Our world has a grand history of "day after" holidays. You're probably familiar with Thanksgiving's Black Friday and Christmas' Boxing Day, but have you heard of Labor Day's Telephone Tuesday.
Yes, it turns out the day after Labor Day is when companies receive the highest volume of phone calls. I for one am shocked (and delighted) that enough people still pick up the phone to warrant such a day.
Although I suppose Email and Text and Customer Service and Telephone Tuesday just doesn't have the same ring to it.
And I reckon that it's fitting that the day after we honor our nation's workers, we make sure they have even more work to fit into the short week.
What better way to get back into the swing of things than with an endless stream of phone calls?
So, whether you're fielding phone calls, texts, emails, or whatever else might fly your way, I wish you all the best of luck. Remember, it's Tuesday (i.e. one day closer to Friday).
