Today crusaders, we’re faced with a conundrum. On the one hand, we have what would appear to be an unassailable fact — the importance of words has never been clearer.
Yet, it would seem that the pervasiveness of technology has burgled (for many of us) our desire to choose them meticulously.
Terminology that was heretofore commonplace and comprehended now all too often falls on dumfounded ears. It’s enough to hornswoggle any lovers of the lexicon.
Yet there is a why and wherefore for sanguineness — Today is Word Nerd Day. It is a profound day for prose, poetry, and purposeful utterances. So, crusaders, go forth, articulate, try not to pontificate, and (always) be the vocab variation you want to see in the world.
