I'm drinking tonight peppermint tea with organic vanilla soy milk. I was on a double spice chai tea binge and used the last tea bag earlier tonight. This is delicious too though. I'm sure someone already thought up the mixture, but I like to think I put my own twist on it. ;O) And I wish this was my tea cup!
Anyway, my stitches are out, whoo hoo! and that means I am pretty much done with that. I probably have two good months left of healing, but the outlook is much sunnier. I hope the rest of my health issues also resolve themselves soon. It would be so nice to be able to live a semi-normal life. Ugh, I did get this not-so-friendly nurse today. I don't know why it's bothering me so much because she was probably just grumpy, having a bad day or whatever. I guess you yearn so much for compassion when you're ill and when someone isn't warm towards you, you get a little nutty about it. At least that's me. I don't want to be babied or dependent, it's just when I'm healing it's nicer to have someone reach out to you and truly be there. She was just going through the motions and probably wondering when the day was going to be over.
I did get some more cards done and pretty excited about one of my latest designs. I will get it listed tonight (or rather, this morning). I've been having trouble sleeping, but try to use my time wisely. If I am up and functional, I will try to get some more work done.
Hey I made another treasury! I think this is my 5th one and every one makes me feel special. You can view it here. Thank you to those who make them and pick my items to be featured in them. I really appreciate it.
I lost track of time and was scrambling tonight to get together the donations for my church's youth auction. I was making the cookies about an hour ago and realized that I am out of flour. DANG! I'll be working like a crazy lady to get those cookies made and out tomorrow morning. I used to bake a lot so running out of ingredients and being in the spot where I am at now was pretty rare. I'll get it taken care of tomorrow. You can take a peek at the stationery sampler pack I made up. I already put one together for another auction, will be putting one together for a giveaway that is coming up soon (stay tuned) and make some up for my shop.
Whoa, this is a pretty long post. I usually try to keep them short and sweet, but I guess I'm long-winded tonight. I'll leave you with this... I was watching Dr. Phil and he had something about this man (24 years old) who acted/said he was a 18 month old baby. He wore diapers, had an adult sized crib, high chair, threw tantrums, had adult sized onesies... even his girlfriend took on the "mother" role and fed, changed, played, etc. with him. It was interesting, to say the least. God bless, Dr. Phil. I seriously could not do his job and interview the people he interviews.
