This is all part of the assault course portion of Mummy training that you go through in the first few months of parenthood. It is lots of fun. You learn how to dodge objects, that will trip you (shoes, baby toys, books) and ensnare you (baby towels & night dresses...All I will say is, in the middle of the night when you have had less than three hours sleep in 48 hours and you need to get your night dress on, you don't always realize when you try and put your head through the arm hole...this was particularly traumatic!). I am happy to say I can now navigate any hurdles thrown my way in the darkest of rooms. Just in time for them sleeping through the night!
Hmmm I got a little off track there. So anyway Indigo has joined the raspberry party that River has been constantly throwing (if you have no idea what I am talking about read this post here). The sound of her blowing raspberries quite happily to herself was a little different to the sound of my usual alarm, but was a nice surprise. I went in to check on them both before I brushed my teeth and got their milk ready and there was Indigo blowing raspberries at her brother. Tongue poking out and smiling wide, whilst her brother giggled. They both looked very happy indeed. River has taught her well.
I love waking up to smiley happy babies.
