Happy World Book Day!
It’s no coincidence that this holiday dedicated to all things reading falls on Theodore Geisel’s (aka Dr. Seuss) birthday. Books and Dr. Seuss go together like…well, green eggs and ham.
In honor of this beloved wordsmith’s birthday, I thought I’d write today’s post as a rhyme.
It seems in this world that is moving so fast, a lot of us don’t take the time to relax.
We hurry and scurry from one thing to another, without very much time to wonder or discover.
So on this special day dedicated to books, why not why not stop and give a tome a good look.
A tome has many, many pages…something you’d know if you read in the last few ages.
Reading does more than improve your smarts, it can also make you happy which is good for your heart.
So today take some time to read a new book or perhaps give a favorite another look.
