…Redesign

It was a big week day for the most visited site in all of the Internet — Google.

Today, the search engine giant began to roll out their redesigned logo.  If you don’t notice any difference between the logo above, and the one that’s been gracing your web browser for the past three years, then you might want to have your depth perception checked.

The sleek “new” logo features the same iconic Google colors and shape, minus the slight shadow featured in the old logo.

Before you rush to take in the new logo on your own computer or mobile device, only to be greatly disappointed, I should mention that the new logo is not available to everyone…yet.  Because the only thing that could possible make the new flatter Google logo more exciting, is having to wait for it.

Of course, that’s not all that Google’s been up to.  While they weren’t busy deciding what shade of green to go with, and whether to keep the serifs, they’ve been working on curing aging.

Yesterday, Google’s CEO Larry Page announced the new Google startup, Calico.   It’s being touted as a long-term investment that could be 10 times better than competing anti-aging remedies.  It sounds too good to be hypothetically true.

We can only sit back, wait, and hope that it can live up to the new logo.
