Rejected…

Posted on the 07 June 2012 by Ladymoxie @ladymoxie2012

…but rather than feeling sad, I’m actually laughing at my own mistake, a testament to both my poor memory and bad sense of timing. Okay, so here’s what happened:

Because maintaining a blog incurs expenses, I decided ages ago that I would eventually open my blog up to the possibility of selling ads on my site. I figured I would have to regularly post articles while waiting for My Kimcheed Life to ‘mature’. Well, I failed on the post-regularly part but, after a year, I felt MKL is ready for submission to  Google AdSense which is perhaps the foremost money-making opportunity for bloggers.

So after I went back to blogging, I submitted the blog. It passed the initial evaluation so I was told to create and insert ad codes so AdSense can do further review.

But then I posted my Neobux earnings a few days ago (to show off a little LOL) and I received an email from AdSense last night informing me that MKL got rejected! Toinks!

Here’s a copy of their message:

Hello,

As mentioned in our welcome email, we conduct a second review of your
AdSense application once AdSense code is placed on your site(s). As a
result of this review, we have disapproved your account for the following
violation(s):

Issues:

- Unacceptable site content

———————

Further detail:

Unacceptable site content:

In order to participate in Google AdSense, publishers’ websites and
application information must satisfy the following guidelines:

*You must provide accurate personal information with your application that
matches the information on your site.
*Your website must contain substantial, original content.
*Your site must comply with Google AdSense program policies:
https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48182 which
include Google’s webmaster quality guidelines:
http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35769#quality.

So I followed the links they’ve thoughtfully provided to find out what I did wrong. And then some hair pulling ensued. Arrrrgggghhhhh!

But on the brighter side, they did tell me that they’re not closing the door on me and my blog forever. I may resubmit MKL in the future, making sure I do not make the same mistake. They did not specify exactly how much time before I can renew my application but I think it’s best to wait a month or so.

I have a question though, does putting Nuffnang and AdHitz ads violate Google AdSense’s guidelines? Do feel free to answer in the comment section.
