RISD's "Beach" is actually a lawn on their school grounds and a farm they own elsewhere is actually a beach. If that's not confusing enough, RISD is also hosting a "Lawn Party" on Benefit Street this weekend. Ian tells me they roll out AstroTurf on Benefit Street celebrating Spring in the hopes of giving RISD students a break from their work - even if just for a bit.
I have it on good authority that there will be some good live music playing there Saturday too.
