River Has His First Official Pair Of Shoes!

Finally!Seriously for months now River has been walking around on his knees and then all of a sudden he has decided to use his feet and is now toddling around like lightning and yesterday to celebrate we bought him his first 'official' pair of shoes (he does own a pair of jellies and some converse style snoopy trainers as he was jealous of Indigo's shiny shoe wearing ways). 
These new shoes are shoe shop bought and he had to get his feet measured and everything. 
He was very good and let the shoe lady measure him and try many pairs of shoes on until we found a pair that were just right. The whole time he was full of smiles and quiet excitement it was lovely.

Indigo also had a pretty good time as she spent the whole time in the shop playing with toys, rummaging through the face painter's (yes there weirdly was a face painter in the shoe shop) bag and saying hello to the other boys and girls in the shop. 
It was altogether a very lovely experience.  Plus now that River is walking and they are both shoe clad, it will make our Center Parcs break all the more fun!
