River has joined his twin sister and is now walking. He took his first steps earlier today, accompanied by much cheering and celebration.
I am so glad. His first steps were a bit unsteady, but I know from watching how quick Indigo was, it really won't be long until he is whizzing about the place.
Oh, I am so happy right now. It has been an awesome day.

As soon as he started walking I whipped out my iPhone with reflexes a ninja would have been jealous of and recorded it. I love how intensely he is concentrating and that he is chattering away to himself. I also love that Indigo is getting in on the fun by shouting out in the background.
After the few seconds of video I filmed, he carried on getting up and setting off again and again until his little legs were tired.
It is amazing how quickly they go from being cute tiny little lumps that just lie there and occasionally cry, to cute toddlers that walk and chatter in babylish. I love it!
Hooray for River! Though this does raise the stakes in terms of the kind of trouble they can now get into...
