Marvel fans, what I’m about to tell you may sound unimaginable, but I want you to keep an open mind, and I promise we’ll get through this together.
Ready? Fair warning, you may want to sit down for this.
There is not a clip at the end of the “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” credits.
Just in case your brain went into shock and wasn’t able to process that whole sentence, I’ll rephrase it — do NOT sit through the entire credits of “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” your patience will NOT be rewarded.
There is some good news, you’ll still get your mid-credits teaser clip, but consider this your official warning, there will not be a second clip.
I realize that it sounds too crazy to be true. After all, who ever heard of a Marvel film without a clip after the credits? But according to trustworthy sources, including director Joss Whedon, it’s true.
I know it’s nearly impossible to comprehend, but try and focus on the positives. For example, those 10 to 15 minutes you’ll save because you don’t have to sit through the credits. Just think of all that you can do with that time. You can start debating the themes and execution of the overlapping story arcs of the film…or start planning your second (or third) film-viewing.
The point is, you have those 15 minutes back. Use them wisely.
