Tonight, the Cardinals and Rangers meet in Arlington, Texas for game 3 in World Series. The series is tied 1-1. It could go either way, and…
I am completely burnt out. Don’t get me wrong. I love baseball. I want my beloved Cardinals to win the World Series, but I’d really appreciate it if they could sweep the rest of the series.
Before you “true” fans jump on your high horses, you should know that I am not alone.
I have some pretty lofty company. You may have heard of them. St. Louis Cardinals Albert Pujols, Lance Berkman, Matt Holliday and Yadier Molina all gave the post game media the slip this past Thursday.
Now, plenty of speculation has been shared about the reasons behind this disappearance: indifference, frustration, didn’t know the media wanted to discuss the game with them.
The list goes on and on.
But I think we all know what the real reason is. Much like this Crusader, they’re tired of talking about baseball.
Personally, I’m more than ready to move onto other things like Halloween and possibly football (Rams, you know what you’ve done).
But for now, I’ll suck it up and hang in there, still hoping for a Cards’ victory.
Here’s to a strong Cardinals’ finish in this series (quickly please), and, of course…Go Cards!
