Today we celebrate a breakfast food that is so revered, it’s allowed its own appliance in many kitchens. I am of course speaking of National Waffle Day. Of course, here at the 2WC, it’s another excuse to talk about Leslie Knope (as if that’s necessary).
Because as any “Parks and Recreation” fan knows, among Leslie’s countless delightful qualities, her commitment to this breakfast staple.
Of course, while her heart is with waffles, she’s also general connaisseur and champion of all breakfast foods.
And understands the importance of always being prepared where all food is concerned.
And her friends, bless their hearts, know the way to Leslie’s heart, and only occasionally exploit it…
And just as she does for all of the things that matter to her, she will fight tooth and nail for her waffles…
So, on this National Waffle Day, may we all find our own waffles…literally and figuratively…
