Hello out there and greetings from Chiberia, right smack-dab in the middle of the Polar Vortex. It’s Day 3 of the deep freeze and 14 degrees has officially become a completely reasonable temperature.
Admittedly, some of us are being a little melodramatic about the dangerously cold temperatures. Not me of course, but some of us…
I am talking to each and every one of you that has posted a screenshot of your weather app. This an intervention. We all know how cold it is. We don’t need a reminder, however witty and hashtag brilliant your accompanying commentary might be.
I allow that there are many (too many really) people out there who have every right to complain about the extreme cold. Odds are if you have the luxury of posting hourly temperature updates on Twitter, you are not one of those people.
Sorry to get so “real”, but the temperature updates have gotten out of hand.
There are so many other things you could be sharing via social media. Like selfies and what you had for breakfast. Who doesn’t love those? Well, me, but the weather updates are a little out of hand.
Please, just post anything but another obvious comment on the weather. We’re all here. We get it.
