It’s a sad week for nerds, dorks and sewer dwelling wildlife.
If you got that last reference, then you probably belong to one of those first two groups. For the rest of you, our beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are under attack from an unlikely source.
Fans who were thrilled when it was announced that Michael Bay would be producing the series cinematic relaunch, pulled a 180 after his latest announcement: the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will not be mutants.
Now hold on a second, step away from your Twitter account. Instead of mutants, they will be “lovable aliens.”
Personally, this blogger is withholding judgment (for now). But needless to say, Turtle fans (they exist) are not happy.
Lucky for Bay, the throng of fans haven’t noticed the other adjective missing from the film’s title, “Ninja Turtles.” I guess, “Young Adult Ninja Turtles” just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
Okay, feel free to unleash your fury on followers, friends and other assorted social media disciples.
