It is precisely one day until Christmas and we all know what that means…you better get going on your shopping…and…it’s ANSWER THE PHONE LIKE BUDDY THE ELF DAY!!!
It’s that one day of the year when all of us remember about 5% of the time to answer the phone with the greatest of all greetings: “Buddy the Elf. What’s your favorite color?”
True. It’s 95% of those 5% of calls end in the other person hanging up in complete confusion, but that’s not the point. It’s the holiday season, a time for cheer, fun, and some telephonic frivolity.
It’s easy to get stressed out and caught up in the hectic business of December. Sometimes we need a little reminder to appreciate the reason for the season.
So enjoy, and always remember and never forget: if it was really important they’ll probably call back.
