It’s St. Patrick’s Day! …and we wish you all a happy one.
So, if St. Patty’s Day is here then spring can’t be far behind. Which means it’s time for the final installment of 2WC’s countdown to spring.
On this Sunday, our final before the dawn of spring, we take a moment to remember that the first day of spring does not always bring the springiest of weather.
I’m sure plenty of you are reading this in your shorts and t-shirts whilst enjoying a sunny spring-like day. However, a lot of us will welcome spring this coming Wednesday with our hats, scarves, winter coats, and the hope that actual spring isn’t too far away.
So, while we’re waiting we thought we’d take a moment to reflect on the things we like best about spring:
- Warmer weather – we love a good snow storm as much as the next person, but at this point of the season they’ve turned into slushy wet messes and enough is enough.
- More sunlight – yes, for those of us prone to sunburns it means a little more prep work before heading outside, but the longer and warmer days are worth the extra effort.
- More color – winter always brings the gray and cloudy weather and the black and gray wardrobe. Spring can’t come soon enough with its bright colors.
And with that we leave you to make your way through these final days of winter. Three days and counting.
