This lamp was created by Andy Brott, a passionate New Orleans glass sculptor and tireless advocate for the Freret neighborhood that was devastated by Katrina but is heading in the right direction thanks to the efforts of people like Andy and his wife.
During my New Orleans media tour, I was able to tour his studio and see a variety of pieces first hand, and honestly this photo doesn't even begin to capture the beauty of Andy's glass art--the colors are stunningly vibrant, the lines of the pieces don't seem physically possible, and the unique structure and style make this functional art a must-have for any home.
