Stuck Between a Rock and a Hard Place....

Posted on the 27 September 2017 by Skip1957 @skip1957
Lately we have seen that was meant as a protest to bring to light racial discrimination, and police brutality, and a means to try and close the rift between us, actually do the opposite. NFL players, some MLB players, even school athletes jumped on the Take the Knee train.

This peaceful protest has been anything but, in terms of a war of opinions and words. You have on one side many who support the athletes, and on the other, many who are shouting how disrespectful these athletes are being to the American flag, it's military personal... Although many of those military personal have stepped forward and stated that the tours they did, were to protect those freedoms so these athletes can protest freely.

So it's a vicious circle, some for, some against... a rock and a hard place.

Most of the criticism has been directed toward the buffoon in the office of presidency, but then why shouldn't it be. Hes' spent more time golfing and tweeting, then doing anything to help ease tensions, bring about peaceful solutions and ease peoples minds, who are sitting back waiting for a nuclear missile to fall into their backyard. You just don't taunt a dictator who is completely bat shit crazy and could start pressing buttons at any given moment!

Now me personally, not being an American, it doesn't really matter much to the Americans, what my opinion on all this is, but if you want to know how I feel about all of this, it's quite simple. I think that if a majority of vets and service personal stand behind these athletes, then so do I. Maybe a poll should be taken, because it seems everyone against, has their panties in a bunch stating this protest disgraces the flag, (which by the way, the American president, Trump, once stated, that burning the flag was completely alright, and made a powerful statement) also disgraces the military. So if the majority of military support it, it's all good with me.

Now to lighten things up a bit... this young lady was stuck in an airport overnight, so instead of sulking and bitching and whining, she took that time to put this video together, don't know about you, but she sure made me feel a little better this morning, hell, I'm still smiling as I write this...
