Summer flies by to quickly. I should remind myself of that each year.
I love this time of the year, when the summer is just about to turn into fall - with cool mornings and warm afternoons.
It seems as though this summers end will not be anything like before. It started out yesterday with a wild bacholerette party - including an almost sixty year old man doing a strip dance (and I thought the most bizarre experiences in my life were behind me, but no). Then there will be a wedding in two weeks (Sigurd's brother is getting married!) and then I'm starting a semester in Lisbon.
Those days when I used to find a new sweater, skirt and notebooks for the first days of school are, however, coming to an end. Do you remember those? It gives me a slightly panicking feeling, since this is something I've done as long as I can remember. This will be my last year. It makes me happy, sad, confused but also relieved. And I realize that it doesn't make any sense to postpone adulthood any longer. You can't have cold feet from growing up.
