I woke up this morning wondering if this will be the monththat I will get to meet my twins.
The doctors have all said that it is unlikely that I willget past the 37th week (which is week commencing 26thSeptember). But I guess there is always the outside chance that I might make itto the 38th week – which would be the first week of October.
The 19th of September is decision day. My doctorsare due to meet with me after my growth scan and let me know if it will be aplanned caesarean or if I will be induced, and I guess after the decision hasbeen made it will all come down to when there is availability to carry out mylittle (or not so little) birthing miracle at the hospital. There is of course alwaysthe possibility that decision day could be null and void, as there is a chancethat I could go into preterm labour at any time! *Hospital bag packed - check!Well...kind of, does it count that it is half packed?*
Well, whatever happens this month I am determined to take a Zenlike approach and just go with it. Let the chips fall where they may. Bring itSeptember! I’m just happy that it won’t be long before I get to meet my littlewomb residents - I can’t wait to introduce my twins to the big wide world. Competition time!!! Guessthe birth date of the twins...
So in the spirit of fun, I invite you to guess the date thatthe twins will make their fabulous debut into the world. Pick a date between now and October 17th and let me know what date you have picked using thecomments function below or by emailing me: [email protected]. If youuse the comments function, don’t forgetto email me your email address so that I can contact you if you are a winner. This competition closes at 11pm (GMT) on the 7th September(or when there are no more dates left to pick), so please be sure to haveyour entries in before then. This competition is open to anyone, anywhere inthe world. A winner will be announced once the twins have been born (just tostate the obvious).
The rules
As with any competition there has to be some rules, but keepreading they are not rocket science.
- One entry per person please, I will keep trackof the dates picked and if they overlap I will let you know so that you canpick another one.
- If there are dates that overlap, the firstperson who has picked the date gets to keep the date.
- If no one picks the correct date the winner willbe the person(s) whose date is nearest to the actual birth date.
That’s pretty much all rule wise...
The prize
Every competition has to have a prize. This one is somethingsmall but cute. The winner will receive a signed limited edition glossyprint on card of my twin bird image (see below).
Good luck!
